Bring the Family!

Many potential ConVENTion attendees may feel that they have to make a choice between attending the Vent Haven ConVENTion and going on a vacation with the family. Perhaps some members of your family aren't interested in three and a half days of intense learning about ventriloquism. The Vent Haven ConVENTion, however, is located just five miles south of Cincinnati, Ohio, and there is plenty to do at the ConVENTion and near the conVENTion to keep family members of all ages satisfied. So bring the family to the ConVENTion. Non-vent family members can spend their days relaxing at one of the three swimming pools at the Drawbridge Inn, and then (if they're registered at the ConVENTion) they can come to the shows in the evenings. Or family members can use the links below to make plans for things to do near the Vent Haven ConVENTion.

Family Entertainment

Coney Island: Over 50 amusement park rides, and the world's largest circulating pool.
Paramount King's Island: A world-renowned amusement park, with the Beast rollercoaster.
The Beach Waterpark: A waterpark with wave pool complete with a sandy beach
The Cincinnati Reds: Check to see if the Big Red Machine is in town during the conVENTion.
Newport Aquarium: Walk through glass tunnels and see sharks and jellyfish.
Cincinnati Zoo: An award-winning zoo
Cincinnati Museum Center: Three museums in one: The Cincinnati Children's Museum, the The Cincinnati Natural History Museum, the Cincinnati History Museum, and an OMNIMAX theater. Visit one attraction or all four, and pay for only what you visit.
Newport on the Levee: Family dining, shopping, movie theaters, and more!

Family Dining

The Drawbridge Inn, in addition to being a fine hotel and a fine convention site, also has on site three restaurants, Chaucers (a family coffee shop), Josh's Tavern (a moderately priced restaurant), and the Gatehouse Tavern (fine dining). In addition, the following chains are less than a mile from the Drawbridge Inn:

McDonald's | Bob Evans | Subway | Skyline Chili | Graeter's Ice Cream | Burger King

Also, the following nearby local restaurants are reasonably priced and recommended:
Montgomery Inn: Barbeque ribs are a specialty.
Greyhound Tavern: If you have time, order the fried chicken.
Montoya's: Authentic Mexican cuisine

Shopping

Crestview Hills Town Center
Florence Mall
Newport on the Levee
